iCodejr, the STEM accredited, licensed online coding academy for school children, concluded its 3rd annual Code Battle with remarkable success, showcasing the exceptional talents of young coders from across the UAE. Held over two weekends in November at DTEC, Dubai Digital Park, the competition attracted over 350 students, ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 12, representing schools from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain.
The event acknowledged winners across all categories at the end of each day’s competition:

In addition to trophies and medals sponsored by iCodejr, the winning teams received gift cards, courtesy of partners BITS Pilani and SkullHub.
Championing Coding for Kids
Code Battle, an inter-school coding competition, aims to inspire the next generation of digital innovators through a team-based approach to problem-solving. This free initiative by iCodejr empowers students to develop essential coding skills while fostering creativity, teamwork, and resilience.
The event saw over 90% attendance of registered participants, with families and schools actively supporting the young coders. Parents were also engaged with side activities while cheering for their children.
The competition focused on relatable and exciting themes, ensuring a high level of participation and adherence to guidelines.
Hannan Moti, co-founder of iCodejr, commented, “Watching these young coders take on complex challenges with creativity and confidence has been truly inspiring. Code Battle is not just a competition; it’s a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the boundless potential of young minds.
Moti added that it was their (iCodejr) mission is to provide students with opportunities to explore coding in an engaging and supportive environment, empowering them with the skills they need to shape the future. “This year’s participation and enthusiasm reaffirm that we are heading in the right direction, and we are excited to continue supporting the next generation of tech leaders.”
Looking Ahead to 2025
Code Battle’s next edition is already planned for November 2025, promising even more opportunities for young coders and schools across the UAE to demonstrate their skills and creativity.
One of this year’s judges, Dr. Judhi Prasetyo, Head & Founder of RoboTechX Lab, Middlesex University Dubai, remarked on the high calibre of talent at this year’s Code Battle. Prasetyo said, “The ingenuity and problem-solving skills these students exhibited were remarkable. What stood out the most was their ability to collaborate and think critically under pressure—skills that will serve them well beyond this competition. Initiatives like Code Battle play a vital role in preparing the next generation for a technology-driven future.”
